Summary of 2001 data
There were 104,187 communicable disease notifications for 2001 (Table 2). Notification rates per 100,000 population for each disease by state or territory are shown in Table 3. Comparative data for the period 1997 to 2001 are shown in Table 4a. Table 4b presents details on reporting of diseases by states and territories since 1991.Table 2.
