Communicable Diseases Intelligence (CDI) is a quarterly publication of the Office of Health Protection, Australian Government Department of Health. It aims to provide information about communicable diseases in Australia to inform and assist those with responsibility for communicable disease control in a wide variety of settings.

Summary of issues for 2014

Issue 1 - March 2014 contains several articles on enteric diseases including an editorial on the importance of enteric infections in Australia. Other contents include an annual report on tuberculosis surveillance and three antimicrobial resistance related annual reports, as well as the regular quarterly data reports.

Issue 2 - June 2014 contains an editorial on polio, two original articles on polio and the Ross River virus infection case definition, two annual reports on mosquito-borne diseases and the Influenza Complications Alert Network, as well as the regular quarterly data reports.

Issue 3 - September 2014 contains an editorial on pertussis, three original articles on pertussis, three annual reports on immunisation coverage, adverse events following immunisation and antibiotic resistance, as well as the regular quarterly data reports.

Issue 4 - December 2014 contains three original articles on disease outbreaks; two short reports on measles in a correctional facility and toxigenic cutaneous diphtheria; nine annual reports on meningococcal surveillance, antimicrobial resistance (3), rotavirus surveillance, Cruetzfeldt-Jakob disease and tuberculosis in Australia (2), as well as the regular quarterly data reports.
