Communicable Diseases Intelligence (CDI) is currently expanding its base of reviewers. We are seeking reviewers who can provide constructive analysis of papers thus enhancing the overall reputation and quality of CDI.
As a reviewer you will be asked to evaluate the quality, relevance and merit of submitted papers. Comments should be as complete and detailed as possible and contain clear opinions about strengths, weaknesses, relevance, importance to the field, and if relevant, how the paper might be improved. Reviewers will usually be asked to provide their review within two weeks.
Reviewers are not paid but the role as a reviewer can be added to your CV and is a matter of prestige. For some colleges and faculties, peer review is an activity that counts towards continuing professional development points
All peer-reviewers for each year are acknowledged in the December issue of CDI.
Authors who plan to submit papers for review to CDI are strongly encouraged to volunteer to be a reviewer.
