Indigenous early Childhood Development National Partnership Agreement – Performance Indicators:

  1. increased proportion of Indigenous children attending the CFCs who have had all age-appropriate health checks and vaccinations
  2. increased proportion of Indigenous three and four year olds participating in quality early childhood education and development and child care services
  3. increased proportion of Indigenous children attending the CFCs who go on to attend school regularly
  4. increased proportion of Indigenous children and families accessing a range of services (eg childcare and parent and family support services) offered at or through CFCs
  5. increased proportion of pregnant Indigenous women with an antenatal contact in the first trimester of pregnancy in each year
  6. increased proportion of Indigenous teenagers accessing sexual and reproductive health programs and services
  7. reduced proportion of Indigenous babies born with low birth weight each year
  8. reduced mortality rate of Indigenous infants each year
  9. reduced proportion of Indigenous women who use substances such as tobacco and alcohol during pregnancy each year
  10. reduced proportion of hospital admissions of Indigenous children 0-4 years.

Performance Indicators 5 to 10 relate to health - Data for indicators 5-10 (or their agreed proxy measures) can be sourced from existing national data collections including:

  • AIHW National Perinatal Data Collection (NPDC)
  • National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS)
  • National HIV Registry
  • ABS Death Registration Collection
  • ABS Births Collection
  • ABS National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Survey (NATSISS)
  • AIHW National Hospital Morbidity Database
  • ABS Estimated Resident Population and ABS Indigenous Experimental Estimates and Projections (Indigenous population)
