The MAP Programs support pharmacies to provide medicines to consumers in instalments through the Staged Supply Program, when directed by the prescriber, or packed in Dose Administration Aids with the aim of improving the quality use of medicines. The Clinical Intervention Program supports pharmacists to identify, manage, and document drug related issues associated with a patient’s medicine.

Eligible community pharmacies are entitled to claim incentive payments four times a year for the number of Clinical Interventions services provided in the relevant claiming period.

Data for clinical interventions under the 6CPA will continue to be provided and be reported on a quarterly basis and may be adjusted due to retrospective claims and recoveries processed by the AHA. Claims and associated payments for the Dose Administration Aids and Staged Supply Programs are made on an ad hoc basis.
