About the Panel of Clinical Experts

The Panel of Clinical Experts assesses the clinical functionality and effectiveness of medical devices being considered for listing on the Prostheses List.

The Panel of Clinical Experts is a sub-committee of the Prostheses List Advisory Committee (PLAC). The Panel of Clinical Experts consists of at least two clinical experts from each sub-speciality of listed prostheses.

The Panel of Clinical Experts assesses the clinical functionality and effectiveness of medical devices being considered for listing on the Prostheses List. These assessments inform the Panel of Clinical Experts advice to the PLAC and the department on the suitability to list a device.
