This figure presents the number of notifications of laboratory confirmed influenza
A(H1N1)pdm09 in pregnant women who were hospitalised during 2009 by the number of
weeks gestation and hospital ward type. Of hospitalised cases, approximately 6% were in
their first trimester; 28% in their second trimester; and 66% in their third trimester. Of ICU
admitted cases, 75% were in their third trimester, with the remainder in their second
trimester.
