This figure presents the weekly rates of ILI presentations to NSW emergency departments
between May and October for the years 2006 to 2009. It highlights that presentations to for
ILI began to rise quite rapidly from early May 2009. In comparison to previous years,
presentation rates were substantially higher and peaked earlier.
