This Thursday 24 August, Hoops 4 Health is hosting their Moonlight Challenge, a night-time basketball competition, at the Lake Leanyer Basketball Courts in Darwin.
Teams from the Top End will compete in friendly matches, promoting healthy lifestyles and awareness of the effects of chronic disease.
Special guests to the Challenge include Olympian, Nova Peris, Australian footballer Bo De La Cruz, former NBA Player Andre Moore and three-time world boxing champion, Anthony Mundine.
“Living a healthy lifestyle is what I do,” says Mundine. “I try and convey that to the youth. Through my profile and becoming a World Champion I try and give children an understanding that by not drinking and smoking and by believing in yourself, you can do anything. I encourage all young people and their parents to attend this event.”
Spectators, basketball enthusiasts and Mundine fans are encouraged to attend the drug-and alcohol-free event and support the friendly match. Free health checks will be available during the night!
