The First Hoops 4 Health Live Longer! Challenges were held in the remote community of Maningrida on 27 October and Darwin on 30 October 2011. With over 300 people attending each event, it was a feast of activity to promote the importance of good health to Live Longer!

AFL stars Darryl White and Raphael Clarke as well as Manuel Dhurrkay from the popular band Saltwater were involved to show their support for Aboriginal health. The official mascot, Hooper surprised participants with a skit on eating good tucker, drinking water and staying active.

Thanks to the team at Hoops 4 Health for sharing their Local Community Campaigns project success – your hard work is helping communities to get active and Live Longer!
